Before we welcome the long weekend, let me share with you my awesome Carly Rae experience last night at the big dome.
Fan-girl moment before the show starts!
I, together with a few friends, and our intern of life, Mark, danced and partied to the tunes of our favorite Carly songs like “Good Time”, “This Kiss”, “Tonight I’m Getting Over You”, and “Call Me Maybe”.
Oh, I just loved how the audience was Carly-fied throughout the night. I felt like I was in a club!
Special thanks to our intern of life, Mark Clutario for these awesome pictures!
Sending out some Nuffie love to our dear friends from Globe! Thank you for bringing her here, and for the unforgettable night. I’m definitely still not over her amazing concert!
Posting a video of one of my favorite Carly Rae songs, for you guys.

Read what Mico Halili, Burn Gutierrez, Helene Santos, and Patty Laurel has to say about fathers and fatherhood. Here are some excerpts from their blog entries on #BestStartsWithDad.
Start them young. Start it young. I’m a dad hoping to collect as many photos and images of memorable trips with my daughter. The beach. A journey up the mountains. Plane rides. Road trips.
Maybe twenty, thirty years from now, my daughter won’t remember the details. Hopefully, twenty, thirty years from now, she’ll recall the moments. Probably, twenty, thirty years from now, one of these photos will help her remember.
Dads are often the unsung heroes in the family, lending a helping hand when needed and, although less apparent, also deal with the same parenting issues as moms. It is about time that we acknowledge the invaluable contribution of our dads by recalling how they helped us grow into the well-rounded individuals we are today. What is your best start with your dad?
Now, having children myself, I’m so thankful that they can spend time with their dad growing up, unlike me. Like my mom, I also became a housewife so that I can be the one to raise my kids. Of course most children are really more attached to their mothers at a young age because it’s the moms, especially stay-at-home ones, who spend the most time with them. I’m sure every father has felt unappreciated and even unwanted at some point in their lives. I remember this post I saw online about how when the kids are with their moms, they ask so many questions like “Mom can I eat this?”, “Mom, can I go out?”, “Mom, can I watch this?” etc etc. But when they’re left alone with their dad, they only ask one thing – “WHERE’S MOM?” hahaha! Actually I can relate, but that doesn’t mean that a father’s role is any less important.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – I am so thankful to my hubby for being so encouraging and allowing me to stay at home while he works to support us. I know he, like many other fathers, has missed out on special moments and milestones. They sacrifice this in order to give their family the best life possible. But it just proves how strong they are because I’m sure any dad would gladly give anything to spend more time with his kids if he could.
I’ve always admired my friends who are young dads taking on the unconventional role of being hands-on fathers. There’s a new wave of fathers who have been debunking old stereotypes of fathers just being financial providers and not really physically and emotionally attaching themselves to their kids. Dads are now more involved in the rearing of their children, pitching in and working hand in hand with their wives to provide a loving and safe environment for their kids to grow up in. From teaching their kids to tie their shoelaces, finish a puzzle, or ride their bikes, Dads are now more focused on the little things that actually matter. Gone are the days of dads just leaving all the “home and family matters” to mothers, now it’s really a team effort for both the dad and mom. It’s a progressive way of thinking but something I definitely support!
